Walking...Really?!

Well it's official... she is walking. At only 8 1/2 months she is on the move. It's exciting and sad at the same time, but I knew it was only a matter of time! She is gowing so fast and before you know it we will be planning her 1st birthday party. I will post a video of her walking as soon as I can get one. It seems like as soon as I press record she sits down. I guess she is already camera shy! Oh well.

Addition

Last night Matt and I got Kaylee walking on video. Granted she is actually pushing a toy, but I still think it's crazy! Gotta love this little girl!

OMG!

Well Kaylee is getting bigger and bigger by the day! I swear sometimes it feels like everyday she is doing something new! What happened to the days when I could leave the room for sec and then come back to her sitting exactly where I left her? NOT ANYMORE! Believe it or not at 8 months old she is already trying to walk. She had been pulling up for a few weeks now and crawling is old news too. Her newest thing is to stand up in the center of the room without anything to help her! Is she really supposed to be doing this? Matt keeps telling me I need to stop trying to keep her small and be excited about the new things she is learning. I find it very hard to do that. Don't get me wrong... I am very excited that she is learning. I just wish she would slow it down a notch or two. She is trying to push buttons on the TV, slamming our entertainment center doors and enjoying a bite or two of Abbys' (our dog) food. I am posting a video of her using her excersaucer as a jumper. Its pretty funny! I guess that's all until next time :)

Catching Up!

Wow! It's been a while since I have been on here, but I thought I would catch everyone up. Matt celebrated his first official Father's Day. We celebrated by camping with his family. We had a great time if you could get past the storms we got Saturday morning and then the humidity that came after the rain. We stuck it out and had a good time, but I think we all decided we were done with camping until it gets cooler.

At the end of June Matt and I went to Branson with Jason and Kate. We had a really good time. We saw a show and went to the Titanic Museum. It was the first time that we had left Kaylee for more than one night, so you can imagine how hard it was for me. Thank goodness for Grandma and Grandpa though, she had a wonderful time.

Now it's July and we are enjoying the summer. We have been swimming several times. Kaylee enjoys swimming just as much as I do! She just lays in her little float and chills. We had a fun filled 4th of July complete with swimming, a Baseball game, fireworks and even a fish fry! Now what more can you ask for?

She is getting so big. I can't believe that she is already six months. I just keep thinking that in less than 6 months we will be planning her 1st birthday. It just doesn't seem right. She gets up on all fours and rocks like she is just winding up to take off. She has only barely moved forward once, but I am sure that is only the beginning. She also stands up for several seconds at a time before falling. It's so funny to see this little girl just standing there on her own. With every milestone it's a little sad and a lot exciting. We are watching our little girl grow up so fast. her favorite thing to do lately is to scream. At first Matt and I thought it was so cute. Now that she has been doing it for several weeks we are beginning to see that it is not "so cute." We are hoping that she gets past that phase rather quickly. Well I guess that is it for now. I will try not to wait so long in between blogs next time!

Mother's Day

Well yesterday I got to celebrate my first official Mother's day. Wow! It was so strange to think that I was actually one being celebrated and not just doing the celebrating. I still find it hard to believe that Matt and I have started our own family. I am sure it will hit me some day though. Saturday evening we celebrated with Matts' mom by having dinner at Olive Garden and then walking around Firewheel mall. We had a great time. We surprised his mother with a family portrait of her children and their families. She was very surprised. On Sunday we had dinner with my mom. It's always nice to be able to hang out with family. Em and her kids, Caleb and Katie and the Webb family were all able to celebrate together. Josh and DeLisa and their kids were in Cancun (lucky) and Matt T was in NY. We had a wonderful time just hanging out laughing together like we always do. I have to say that I couldn't have asked for a better First Mother's Day!

Blogging...

Well I have finally decided to start blogging like everyone else in my family. After reading some of my sisters and sister-in-laws blogs I decided that the Webb family needs one too. Although I am not nearly as creative when it comes to writing as the the others are, I am still going to give it a shot. Before when it was just Matt and I it really wouldn't have been that interesting to read about what was happening in our lives. Now that we have our precious daughter Kaylee there might actually be something to write about. So I will give this blogging thing a try! Here we go...
